Before you place the order, get the current datasheet from the supplier. If they can't send it, that's a red flag. A good supplier will email the PDF and ask, "is this the variant you need?"
That might sound like a hassle, but I actually like it. It shows the supplier knows their limits. Over the years, I've learned to be careful with "universal" claims. If someone says a switch "works for all systems," what they usually mean is they haven't checked the specs.
I'd rather work with a specialist who knows their boundaries than a generalist who overpromises.
Three mistakes I still see
Here's what usually goes wrong, in our experience:
